Qbits warranty and service terms: Qbits’ public datasheets describe an expandable warranty but do not give a base term, remedy, registration deadline, service response time or exclusions. Obtain the current written terms for the exact model and sale before relying on a headline claim.
ALMM and inverter compliance: MNRE’s current ALMM page publishes solar PV module and cell lists, not an inverter list. Verify the inverter’s exact model documents and applicable scheme or DISCOM requirements separately.
Deye and Growatt both sell single-phase hybrid inverters through Indian distributors, and each sells several families, so a brand name alone settles little. This page puts one matched 5 kW single-phase hybrid from each next to the other, using each manufacturer’s own datasheet, then covers India contact points, monitoring, warranty as published, price evidence and a plain “which to choose when” guide. It does not score or rank the brands.
Direct answer. Neither brand wins on every row. On the published datasheets, Growatt lists the wider PV voltage window and the higher maximum DC voltage, plus a backup switch time below 10 ms. Deye lists the higher battery charge and discharge current and a rated AC output of 5,000 W against 4,000 W on Growatt’s SPH 5000TL BL-UP. No dated price gap could be sourced, so compare written quotes. Warranty term, remedy and service reach for your pincode are not settled by either datasheet, so get them in writing before you buy.

The Hybrid Inverter Surge in India: Why This Comparison Matters Now
India’s residential solar market has shifted. Through 2022, on-grid (grid-tied) systems dominated because net metering was available and power cuts were bearable. Since then, backup has become a bigger part of buyers’ requirements wherever the grid is unreliable, and LFP rack batteries are now widely listed in India. Dated listings checked on 14 October 2026 worked out to about ₹21,100 to ₹24,000 per nominal kWh for 5.12 kWh packs (Loom Solar CAML-10051 at ₹1,08,000 and Deye SE-F5 PLUS at ₹1,23,000).
The hybrid inverter is the enabling technology for this shift. It manages the solar generation, the grid connection, the battery charge/discharge, and the home loads simultaneously, in a single device. For buyers, choosing the wrong hybrid inverter means being locked into a battery network that limits future choices, or being dependent on a service network that cannot reach them when something fails.
How this comparison works
This page does not give either brand a score or a ranking. A number out of 10 or a total out of 60 would rest on judgements about price, service reach and monitoring that no public source supports, and it would imply a precision the evidence cannot deliver.
What replaces it is a factual table of published specifications for matched models, the warranty and contact information as the manufacturers publish it, and decision rules that say which facts matter for which buyer. Where a fact cannot be verified from a manufacturer’s own document, this page says so instead of estimating it.
How to reach the two companies in India
Deye’s contact page (Ningbo Deye Inverter Technology Co., Ltd.) lists an India Service Center at 4th Floor, Urban Bliss, Baner PAN Card Club Road, Baner, Pune, Maharashtra, with a phone number (+91-7888-245-837) and service hours of Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The page names no India subsidiary or India sales office. Source: Deye contact page and Deye global service centers page.
Growatt’s global contact page lists Growatt New Projects PVT LTD at HydGreen Valley, Devarakonda Basti Road, Road Number 03, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana 500034, with a toll-free number (1800 120 600 600), a service email (service.in@growatt.com) and a sales email (info@growatt.com). Source: Growatt contact page.
Both listings were read on 14 October 2026 and can change. A listed entity or phone number is a way to open a claim. It does not show who would drive to your site, how fast, or what spares they hold, and it does not say which legal entity issues the warranty on your unit. Ask the installer or distributor who the warranty provider is and for the named service partner for your pincode.
Matched 5 kW single-phase hybrid specification comparison
The table compares one single-phase, dual-MPPT hybrid from each maker. The Deye figures come from the datasheet for the SUN-3/3.6/5/6K-SG04LP1-EU (a reseller-hosted copy of Deye’s 2023 datasheet) and Deye’s product page. The Growatt figures come from the SPH 3000-6000TL BL-UP datasheet dated December 2025. Both are global datasheets, not India-specific versions, and regional versions differ, so confirm the figures against the document that ships with your unit. Where Deye’s own datasheet and product page disagree, the table shows both.

Reading the table
AC output rating. The Growatt datasheet lists a maximum AC output of 4,000 W for the SPH 5000TL BL-UP, and the “5000” in the name reflects the PV and model class. The Deye datasheet lists 5,000 W rated. If you need 5 kW of AC output, compare the AC row and not the model name.
PV voltage window and maximum DC voltage. The Growatt datasheet lists a 120 to 550 V MPPT range and a 550 V maximum. The Deye datasheet lists 150 to 425 V and 500 V. A wider window gives more string-design room, and a higher maximum gives more margin on long strings in cold weather. Both are design constraints, not quality grades, so check your string’s hot-day maximum-power voltage against the lower limit and its cold-morning open-circuit voltage against the maximum.
Battery side. The Deye datasheet lists up to 120 A charge and discharge current and the Growatt datasheet lists 85 A, both on a nominal 48 V class battery range. Check the battery’s own continuous current limit, because the lower of the two limits governs.
Backup. The Growatt datasheet lists a UPS function with a switch time below 10 ms. The Deye datasheet text we read lists off-grid peak power of twice rated power for 10 seconds and no switch time. If sensitive loads such as computers or medical equipment sit on the backup output, ask for the switch time in writing for the exact model.
Generator and retrofit. Deye’s datasheet lists support for storing energy from a diesel generator and DC and AC coupling to retrofit an existing solar system. The Growatt BL-UP datasheet lists smart load management via a dry contact and does not mention a generator input. Confirm any generator or retrofit design with the supplier before ordering.
Compliance lines. Neither datasheet prints Indian standard numbers. That does not show that either product lacks Indian registration. Ask each seller for the BIS registration and current certificates for the exact model, and do not rely on a datasheet line.
Monitoring
Deye hybrids are commonly monitored through the SOLARMAN platform and Growatt through ShinePhone. The Deye datasheet lists WiFi, RS485 and CAN interfaces, and the Growatt datasheet lists RF, WiFi or GPRS monitoring as optional. We have not tested the two platforms side by side, so this page does not rank them. Settle these questions with whoever supplies the unit. See the solar inverter app monitoring comparison for a broader platform assessment.
If you manage several sites, ask each seller for a demo account and test it yourself.
Battery compatibility
The battery management system (BMS) determines how the inverter communicates with the battery, manages charge and discharge, and protects cells. Both datasheets list RS485 and CAN communication, and the Deye datasheet lists self-adaption to the BMS for lithium batteries. A communication port does not mean every battery works with every inverter.
Buyers sizing the battery bank alongside the inverter should also work through a proper battery and energy storage sizing exercise rather than defaulting to whatever pack the distributor has in stock.
Warranty as published
| Clause | Deye | Growatt |
|---|---|---|
| Standard term on the datasheet | 5 years (datasheet PDF); product page says 5 years / up to 10 years and that the period varies by installation country | 5 years; 10 years listed as optional |
| India-specific term | Not stated in the public pages we found | Not stated in the datasheet |
| Remedy | Not stated | Not stated |
| Start of cover | Not stated | Not stated |
| Who issues the warranty in India | Not stated; ask the seller | Not stated; Growatt’s contact page lists an India entity, ask the seller who issues it |
Neither page is an India-specific contract. Ask the seller for the document that applies to your sale, and for who pays removal, transport and refit if the remedy is a replacement. Both datasheets list a standard term that ends well before the system’s 25-year productive life, so plan for an inverter replacement and ask for a dated replacement quote when you buy. The solar inverter warranty guide covers how to read term, remedy and exclusions, and the inverter total cost of ownership guide shows how to model a replacement.
India’s Consumer Protection Act 2019 provides remedies for product warranty disputes, but a warranty is only as useful as the party that honours it, so confirm that party’s name in writing.
Price
This page quotes no price gap. Pricing evidence is thin, and what exists is below.
| Pricing item | Deye | Growatt |
|---|---|---|
| 5 kW hybrid inverter dated listing, 14 Oct 2026 | ₹1,35,888 (Deye SUN-5K-SG04LP1-EU, Enlead Energy; showed sold out, tax not stated) | No verified dated India listing found; get a written dealer quote |
| 5-year cost (inverter plus one battery replacement) | Inverter quote plus battery replacement quote; no sourced total | Inverter quote plus battery replacement quote; no sourced total |
Note: The five-year cost of ownership is your inverter quote plus one battery-pack refurbishment within 5 years, using your own quotes: TCO = inverter price + battery replacement price. We found no sourced totals to publish. Battery costs vary significantly by chemistry and brand; two dated 5.12 kWh listings on 14 October 2026 worked out to about ₹21,100 and ₹24,000 per nominal kWh, and the 5 kW hybrid inverter price guide itemises the inverter listings. Consult the battery sizing guide for accurate battery cost estimation for your specific load profile.
To compare two offers fairly, check that both name the same exact model, battery, mounting, cabling, protection devices, monitoring hardware, DISCOM application and commissioning, and that both list exclusions.
Which to choose when
These rules are starting points. Your string design, battery and the service route for your district override them.
- Long strings or a high-voltage array. The Growatt datasheet lists a 120 to 550 V window and 550 V maximum, and the Deye datasheet lists 150 to 425 V and 500 V. Run your cold-morning open-circuit voltage and hot-day maximum-power voltage against both.
- You need 5 kW of AC output. The Deye datasheet lists 5,000 W rated. The Growatt SPH 5000TL BL-UP lists 4,000 W, so check the AC row of whichever Growatt model you are offered.
- A large or fast-charging battery bank. The Deye datasheet lists up to 120 A against 85 A for Growatt. Confirm the battery’s own limit and the approved pairing.
- Sensitive loads on backup. Growatt lists a switch time below 10 ms. Ask Deye’s seller for the switch time of the exact model in writing.
- A diesel generator or an existing solar system to retrofit. The Deye datasheet lists generator energy storage and AC coupling. Ask whichever seller you use to confirm the design for your site.
- Hot or cold site. Deye lists -40 to +60 °C with derating above 45 °C, and Growatt lists -25 to +60 °C. Check the derating curve for the exact model.
- You want the warranty settled before you buy. Both datasheets list 5 years with a longer option. Get the document that applies to your sale, the remedy and who issues it.
- Remote or small-town site. Ask each seller for the named service partner for your pincode and what they stock. The brand’s national contact does not answer this.
Common Mistakes Hybrid Buyers Make When Comparing These Brands
- Comparing by model name instead of the AC row. The Growatt SPH 5000TL BL-UP lists 4,000 W AC output. Compare the datasheet rows, not the number in the name.
- Pairing a battery without a written compatibility check. Confirm the exact battery model and firmware against the manufacturer’s current list, not the spec sheet alone.
- Assuming service is available in your city. A national contact point is not a local service route. Ask for the named partner within reach of your pincode before purchase.
- Treating a 5-year warranty as adequate for a 25-year asset. Both datasheets list the same standard term. See the solar inverter warranty guide for why you should plan for replacement.
- Not factoring battery cost into the price comparison. The hybrid inverter price is only one part of the system cost, and the battery may need replacing within the inverter’s life.
- ALMM scope: Verify current PV module and cell requirements. Check inverter documents separately.
Where Qbits Fits
- Hybrid Inverters: Review current QBH model documents and confirm the exact battery, firmware, PV, backup-output, transfer, communication, warranty and project requirements in writing.
- On-Grid Inverters: Review the current product families and exact-model documents against the project design and utility requirements.
- Battery Sizing Calculator: Estimate the right battery capacity for your power cut profile before committing to a hybrid system.
- Authorised Service Partners: Search the current directory, then confirm partner status, location coverage, service scope, response process and fees in writing.
