The name on a solar inverter is often a brand, not a complete answer to who made the unit. The brand owner, legal manufacturer, importer, assembler, seller and warranty issuer may be different organisations.
This directory maps ten familiar Indian-market brand routes to the organisation identified on each brand’s current official website. It then shows the documents needed to identify the responsible entities for one exact inverter. It does not rank product quality, service or reliability.
Disclosure: Qbits publishes this directory and sells solar inverters. Its entry follows the same evidence rule as every other brand. Where the public record does not establish the legal manufacturer or origin of every Qbits model, this page says so.
Short answer. Start with the company directory below, but finish with the unit. Ask the seller to match the same full model code across the nameplate, datasheet, invoice, origin declaration, applicable compliance record and written warranty. If the entities or model suffixes disagree, the manufacturer question is still open.
Solar inverter company directory for India
The entries are alphabetical. Inclusion means a current official company or product route was available on 26 September 2026. It does not mean that every model is manufactured in India, currently stocked in India or suitable for a particular home.
| Brand | Organisation identified by the official route | What the source establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deye | NingBo Deye Inverter Technology Co., Ltd. | Deye’s official About page identifies the company behind its inverter route | Legal manufacturer, importer, origin and warranty issuer for every India-market SKU |
| GoodWe | GoodWe Technologies Co., Ltd. | GoodWe’s official company profile identifies the organisation behind the product route | Whether the quoted regional variant was made, imported or warranted by that exact entity |
| Growatt | Growatt New Energy | Growatt’s official About page names the organisation used on its global route | The complete legal entity chain and exact-unit origin for an Indian sale |
| Havells | Havells India Limited | The official solar page names Havells India Limited as manufacturer or importer and makes a product-bound manufacturing statement for its GREEHA Solar kit | That every unrelated Havells inverter SKU was made in the same place or under the same arrangement |
| Luminous | Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. | The official About page identifies the company behind the Luminous route | Legal manufacturer, factory and country of origin for every inverter SKU |
| Microtek | Microtek International Pvt. Ltd. | The official About page identifies the organisation behind the Microtek route | Exact-unit manufacturer, origin, importer or warranty remedy |
| Qbits | Qbits or Qbits Energy | Current first-party product records show on-grid and QBH hybrid inverter families | One legal manufacturer, importer or country of origin for every current SKU |
| Solis | Ginlong Technologies | The official company profile identifies Ginlong Technologies behind the Solis inverter route | Which entity imports, sells and warrants the exact India-market unit |
| Sungrow | Sungrow | The official India brand-story page establishes the current Sungrow route and company timeline | The exact legal manufacturer or importer on the quoted unit’s India documents |
| UTL | Fujiyama Power Systems Limited | The official UTL catalogue identifies Fujiyama Power Systems Limited as the legal organisation behind the route | Country of origin and manufacturing location of every listed product |
“Does not establish” is not an accusation. It means the company-level page cannot answer a product-level question. The missing fact may appear on the nameplate, invoice, certificate or declaration supplied with the sale.
Brand owner, manufacturer and importer are different jobs
A clean manufacturer check begins by separating the entities.
| Label | What it can tell you | What it cannot prove alone |
|---|---|---|
| Brand owner | Who controls or markets the name | Who built or imported the exact unit |
| Legal manufacturer | Who accepts manufacturing responsibility on the relevant product record | Where every component originated |
| Assembler | Who performed final assembly | Who designed the product or owns the brand |
| Importer | Who brought the product into India | Who manufactured it or owes every warranty remedy |
| Seller or distributor | Who supplied and invoiced the unit | That the channel is authorised or that the stock is supported |
| Warranty issuer | Which entity promises the written remedy | That the seller, brand owner or manufacturer has the same obligations |
| Country of origin | The declared origin of the supplied product | Reliability, component origin or local service quality |
One organisation can perform several jobs. Several organisations can also share the chain. The practical goal is not to force every field into one company name. It is to identify who is responsible for each field before payment.
What the official sources say about each company route
Deye
Deye’s official About page identifies NingBo Deye Inverter Technology Co., Ltd. That supports the brand-to-company relationship used in this directory.
It does not show that this company is the named manufacturer, importer or warranty issuer for every Deye inverter sold in India. Ask for those entities on the exact model’s sale documents.
GoodWe
GoodWe’s official company profile identifies GoodWe Technologies Co., Ltd. Its public product pages provide a direct route from the company profile to named inverter families.
The company identity still should not be copied automatically into every field on an Indian procurement sheet. Confirm the regional model suffix, nameplate entity, importer if applicable and written warranty issuer.
Growatt
Growatt’s official About page uses the organisation name Growatt New Energy. That is enough to identify the official route, but not enough to reconstruct the full legal supply chain for a unit delivered in India.
For an exact purchase, record the legal names printed on the unit and invoice. Do not expand “Growatt New Energy” into a more precise company claim unless the controlling document uses that name.
Havells
Havells’ official solar solutions page names Havells India Limited as manufacturer or importer. It also states that every component in its GREEHA Solar kit is manufactured in-house by Havells India Limited.
That is a comparatively specific statement because it is tied to a named kit. Keep the scope intact. It does not establish the origin or manufacturer of every inverter carrying the Havells name. Match the delivered product to the named configuration and its current documents.
Luminous
The official Luminous About page identifies Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The company’s solar inverter catalogue covers multiple solar and backup product types.
The catalogue breadth makes the full model code important. A solar home UPS, power conditioning unit and grid-connected inverter can perform different jobs. Company identity does not settle product type or exact-unit origin.
Microtek
Microtek’s official About page identifies Microtek International Pvt. Ltd. Its site separately publishes a grid-tied solar solutions route.
Those pages establish an official company and product-category route. They do not establish which factory made a quoted unit, the country of origin of that unit or the entity responsible for a specific warranty claim.
Qbits
Qbits’ current repository records and datasheet library identify on-grid TLS, TLD, TLC, Pro and Plus families, along with QBH hybrid families. Those are useful product records that can be matched to a quotation.
The public material reviewed for this directory does not establish one exact legal manufacturer and country of origin across every Qbits SKU. It also does not establish one universal base warranty term and remedy. A buyer should obtain those fields in the current sale documents for the model being supplied.
Solis
Solis’ official company profile identifies Ginlong Technologies behind the inverter route. The profile establishes the organisation associated with the brand.
An Indian invoice may still involve a regional seller, importer or separate warranty route. Match the legal names and model suffix across the unit, invoice and supporting documents.
Sungrow
Sungrow’s current India brand-story page establishes the official brand route and company timeline. This directory deliberately stops at the organisation name shown clearly on that route.
For a quoted Sungrow inverter, use the nameplate and India sale documents to identify the exact legal manufacturer, importer and warranty issuer. A global brand history is not a product declaration.
UTL
UTL’s official solar inverter catalogue identifies Fujiyama Power Systems Limited as the legal organisation behind the site. It also separates on-grid, hybrid and solar inverter or PCU categories.
That settles the brand-route relationship, not the origin of every product. Confirm the manufacturer or importer and country of origin on the exact unit supplied.
The seven-document manufacturer check
Run this check for every shortlisted inverter, including a Qbits model.
- Full model code: copy every letter, number and suffix from the quotation.
- Nameplate photograph: request a clear image of the exact product label, not a catalogue mock-up.
- Current datasheet: confirm that the full model appears and that the operating type matches the system design.
- Invoice entity: identify the legal seller and make sure the model description matches the supplied unit.
- Manufacturer or importer declaration: record the entity responsible for the India-market product where applicable.
- Country-of-origin declaration and compliance record: match both to the exact model and named entity. A logo is not a model match.
- Written warranty: identify the issuer, term, start date, remedy, exclusions, registration deadline and claim route.
Do not accept documents for a neighbouring model. Similar family names can hide different phases, power ratings, battery voltages, communications hardware or regional approvals.
Common mistakes when checking an inverter manufacturer
Treating a familiar logo as legal identity
A logo helps a buyer find the official website. It does not identify the entity on a particular invoice or warranty. Record the full legal names instead.
Turning a factory statement into exact-model origin
A company may operate factories in India and also sell products from other sources. A corporate facility statement is useful context, but the exact unit needs its own evidence.
Assuming an Indian brand means Indian manufacture
Brand nationality, ownership, assembly and product origin are separate facts. None is a shortcut for quality. A well-documented imported unit can be a better fit than a poorly documented locally assembled one.
Using ALMM as an inverter directory
Confusing the manufacturer with the supplier
The manufacturer question identifies the product chain. The supplier question establishes whether the seller is authorised, can deliver traceable stock and can support the transaction. EPC buyers should use the separate inverter supplier verification guide for that process.
Which directory should you use next?
Use this page when the question is, “Which company sits behind this brand, and what still needs exact-model proof?”
Use the Indian solar inverter brands guide when you want a focused homeowner comparison of Indian-market routes and manufacturing evidence. Use the top solar inverter brands guide when you want product-category options across Indian and global brands. Neither page replaces the nameplate and sale-document check.
Final checklist before you approve a brand
Your completed comparison sheet should answer all of these questions:
Leave an unsupported field marked “unknown.” A confident verbal answer is not the same as a product document.
If Qbits is on your shortlist, open the current Qbits product catalogue and request the exact model’s nameplate, origin, compliance and warranty documents before comparing it with another brand. Apply the same standard to both.
