No public page can identify the best solar inverter partner programme for every business. The useful comparison is structural: what role you are applying for, what work you will perform, what the first application asks, what support the brand describes, and what remains unknown until you receive written terms.

This review compares current official pages from Luminous, Qbits, Servotech, Spectra Solar Power, UTL, and Waaree, listed alphabetically and not ranked. Their models are not interchangeable. Some are product-resale routes. Some combine installation and service. Spectra describes a lead-generation model in which its own team handles technical execution, so it is included as a boundary case rather than labelled an inverter dealership.

How we selected and compared the programmes

We checked each source on 26 September 2026. A brand entered the table only when its official India-facing website provided a current partner, dealership, distributorship, franchise, or channel page that described an application route or operating model.

Every programme was tested on the same six dimensions:

  1. Applicant role: dealer, distributor, retailer, franchise partner, EPC, system integrator, or sales channel partner.
  2. First application: the information requested before a discussion or review.
  3. Operating responsibility: who sells, stocks, surveys, installs, commissions, or services.
  4. Public support description: training, marketing, tools, technical support, operations, or lead handling named on the page.
  5. Commercial transparency: whether the page states usable terms for pricing, margin, credit, territory, stock, leads, targets, or payout.
  6. Decision gap: what still needs a written proposal, schedule, or agreement.

We did not score reliability, profitability, brand value, or programme quality. The public pages do not provide comparable outcome data for those claims. We also excluded testimonials, directory listings, search snippets, and third-party franchise estimates from the comparison.

The table compares what each brand publishes, not what every approved partner eventually receives. A support category named on a webpage may be conditional, role-specific, or governed by a separate policy. Ask for the deliverable, owner, timing, cost, eligibility, and withdrawal rule in writing.

What each public route does well, and what it cannot show

Luminous: a short, category-led initial enquiry

Luminous uses a broad Become a Partner form. It asks for contact and location details, then lets the applicant choose Solar, Inverters & Battery, or Others.

The strength is low initial form burden. A business can express interest without first completing an infrastructure or financial profile. That does not mean later due diligence is lighter. The public form does not define whether the applicant seeks a dealer, distributor, installer, or another appointment.

Treat this as a contact route, not a complete programme description. Ask which role and legal entity the reply concerns before comparing it with a named dealer or distributor offer.

Qbits: a detailed first-stage business profile

The Qbits form lets an applicant choose Dealer, Distributor, EPC, or System Integrator. It then asks about the legal business, GST details, warehouse, sales and technical teams, service capacity, capital, sales plan, and prior inverter experience.

That depth is useful if you want to present operating capacity before the first call. It also creates more work and requests financial information earlier than the shorter forms in this comparison. The page does not publish a minimum threshold that guarantees acceptance.

Its main limitation is structural. Four different roles enter one application even though their stock, customer, installation, and service responsibilities can differ substantially. Use the dealer, distributor, EPC, and system-integrator comparison before selecting the route.

Servotech: explicit dealer and distributor choices with named support categories

Servotech separates Dealership and Distributorship on its official page. It also names training, marketing materials, events, technical guidance, service support, and potential customer leads among its programme benefits.

That is useful disclosure because an applicant can turn each heading into a precise question to ask. For example, potential customer leads still needs rules for eligibility, allocation, duplication, ownership, acceptance, reporting, and withdrawal. The page does not state a lead volume or business result.

Servotech also describes area rights. A webpage heading is not a territory schedule. Confirm the geography, channels, excluded customers, online sales, direct accounts, performance conditions, review rights, and consequences of conflict in the proposed agreement.

Spectra Solar: a sales-partner model, not an inverter-stockist model

Spectra says its channel partner focuses on market awareness, lead generation, and sales closure. Its internal team handles survey, engineering, installation, DISCOM coordination, net metering, commissioning, and AMC. It also says the route requires no inventory investment or infrastructure setup.

This is the clearest operating split in this comparison. It may suit a local network builder who wants a sales role without product stocking or technical execution.

It is not a like-for-like substitute for an inverter dealership. The partner does not appear to select, buy, stock, and resell an inverter line under the described model. Spectra says the agreed margin is credited after full customer payment, which creates a payment dependency that should be defined carefully in the agreement.

UTL: distinct dealer, distributor, and branded retail routes

UTL publishes separate Dealership and Distributorship pages plus a Solar Shoppe retail-franchise route. That makes the intended format more visible than a single all-purpose partner form.

The dealer and distributor pages describe channel support, while the Solar Shoppe page discusses retail presentation, local marketing, and sales, service, and installation training. This gives an applicant concrete support topics to verify.

The pages are marketing-led and include several commercial claims. This comparison does not carry those figures across because a fair decision requires the full price base, stock, target, payout, return, service, and termination schedules. Request the current controlling documents for the exact route.

Waaree: a broad franchise role with visible operating scope

Waaree’s page addresses distributors, local dealers, and retailers, then describes Franchise Partner, Authorised Selling Point, and Retailer routes. Its franchise description spans survey, sales, installation, and service. The page also names training, marketing, and pre-sales and post-sales assistance.

The strength is a visible role ecosystem rather than a single generic enquiry button. Waaree also publishes a franchise-location directory, which lets an applicant see how the network is represented publicly.

The breadth creates a due-diligence question: which duties belong to the exact role being offered to you? Do not assume that a retailer, selling point, and installation franchise receive the same products, territory, tools, targets, or service obligations.

Match the operating model before comparing benefits

The biggest mistake is comparing programme headlines before confirming that the roles are equivalent.

Which public route to investigate first for each intended business model
Your intended businessPublic routes worth investigating firstWhy
Buy and resell inverter productsThe relevant Luminous appointment, Qbits Dealer or Distributor, Servotech Dealership or Distributorship, or UTL Dealership or DistributorshipThese routes at least begin from product-channel intent; exact stock and resale rights still need confirmation
Run a branded solar retail outletUTL Solar Shoppe or a relevant Waaree franchise or retail routeBoth brands publish an explicit retail or franchise format
Generate local project leads while another company executesSpectra Solar channel partnerIts public model assigns technical execution to Spectra rather than the channel partner
Apply once while declaring an EPC or integration roleQbits EPC or System Integrator choiceThe form explicitly allows those roles, though the commercial and technical scope remains unpublished
Start with a short category enquiryLuminous Become a PartnerThe first form is brief, but the programme structure must be confirmed after contact
Evaluate publicly named lead supportServotechIt explicitly describes potential lead sharing, without publishing a quantity or outcome guarantee

These are route-fit observations, not programme endorsements. A suitable label can still lead to unsuitable terms. An unfamiliar label can still produce a workable agreement if the responsibilities are clear.

The due-diligence sheet every brand should complete

More published benefits do not automatically mean a stronger programme

A detailed webpage can help you ask better questions. It cannot show that support was delivered, that partners were profitable, or that a benefit applies to your tier and territory. A sparse page can lead to a strong private agreement. A polished page can lead to a weak one.

The contract should convert each important headline into an operating rule:

  • training becomes curriculum, attendees, dates, assessment, authorisation, and refresh rules;
  • marketing support becomes named materials, approvals, cost ownership, geography, and withdrawal;
  • leads becomes allocation, duplicates, ownership, privacy, reporting, and performance conditions;
  • territory becomes a schedule of geography, customers, channels, exceptions, targets, and remedies; and
  • service support becomes intake, diagnosis, field work, parts, costs, escalation, records, and closure.

If a benefit cannot be translated into an owner, deliverable, condition, and record, treat it as a discussion point rather than a decision fact.

Choose the next action that fits your role

First decide whether you want product resale, distribution, retail, project execution, or lead generation. Then request the same evidence pack from each relevant programme and compare only equivalent roles.

If the Qbits Dealer, Distributor, EPC, or System Integrator route fits your operating model, complete the Qbits channel partner application with accurate current information.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which solar inverter partner programme is best in India?
There is no universal winner. First choose the operating model: product resale, distribution, branded retail, project execution, or lead generation. Then compare the written agreement, commercial schedule, product scope, territory, stock duties, service responsibility, support, and exit terms. A public programme page shows the application route, not the commercial value or partner outcomes.
Is a solar channel partner the same as a dealer?
Not necessarily. One brand may use channel partner for a stockist or reseller, while another uses it for a local salesperson who does not hold inventory or execute projects. The agreement must define who buys products, invoices customers, installs, services, owns leads, and carries payment risk.
Does submitting a partner form guarantee margin or territory?
No. A form starts an enquiry or review. Margin, prices, credit, stock commitments, territory, exclusivity, leads, targets, service obligations, approval, and termination rights need to appear in the approved agreement and its schedules.
Why does this comparison not rank programmes by earnings?
The public pages do not provide comparable, complete earnings data. A headline margin without its price base, exclusions, targets, payout trigger, returns, service costs, and working-capital cycle cannot support a fair ranking.
What should I request before signing a solar partner agreement?
Request the final agreement and schedules covering legal entities, role, products, customers, geography, prices, rebates, payment, stock, delivery, returns, leads, marketing, training, installation, warranty, service, data, targets, liability, term, termination, and post-termination duties.
